The world is changing at a rapid pace and the thought of the future has now become the present. We are no longer living in a world of which we dream of electrified cars roaming our streets and autonomous vehicles being part of our life. But this notion is not yet to be fully materialized, although significant ground has been covered and the global society has made their opinion clear on the direction that we’re taking; the adaptation of electric vehicles will not transform the overall automotive ecosystem just yet.
The development of alternative energy resources are actively being explored and this results in diversification of development in the automotive front. While most major brands are well underway with their electrified offerings but the nature of EV may just be a transition phase towards a better sustainable model.
Nonetheless, the ground work of our future automotive landscape may heavily be influenced by the progress made within the EV development as well as its ecosystem along with how the ownership of vehicles may be transformed soon. Some of us might be looking forward to that, but to some others we might not favor the outlook of what is to come. All in all, Malaysia as a country will take several more years before we can see major change on our automotive landscape here.
