In a recent stir of the EV market, we are teased with the prospect of another very much entry-level full electric car to grace our roads soon. Our sources already hinted at the car being priced extremely competitively for an EV of such size and capacity. Dongfeng box has been making its way here for some time now after it was previewed in August. The brand is here and they’re being distributed by well-experienced players of the industry but that does not matter much because what people will be looking at is the pricing and how well it performs.
So all of that will soon be answered when Dongfeng Malaysia announces the box festival to take place this coming weekend where the public can finally get their hands on the car and decide if it’s worth the price being stated. Regarding that, we’ve been receiving tips that it will range around the same as its closest competitor the BYD Dolphin which starts from RM100,700 based on the recommended retail price. So the Dongfeng Box also known as Nammi 01 in China, will soon be revealed on the official launch of the car later.

Dongfeng Box will be offered by two of its models under the family one being E2 and the other being E3. As seen here on the pricing we know it is close to what is being offered for an entry-level EV car from China here. Market sentiment at the moment about EVs from China has been well received by the market with the top 10 registrations of new EVs being dominated by the brand from China. We can surely see the Dongfeng Box will be celebrated well by those who are looking to venture into this electrified world of vehicles. But nonetheless, we will closely monitor this story as it progresses in a few more days to come.
