KUALA LUMPUR – In a bold move that’s revving up the corporate engine, PROTON has just announced the appointment of Ainol Azmil as its new Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective June 10, 2025!

Ainol, already a key player in PROTON’s Corporate Strategy and Group Technical Procurement, will now be steering even more of the company’s future as he reports directly to CEO Dr. Li Chunrong.

This high-octane promotion comes as Roslan Abdullah, the man who helped turbocharge PROTON’s rise over the past five years, steps down. Under Roslan’s leadership, PROTON not only solidified its dominance in Malaysia but also made a powerful entry into the electric vehicle (EV) race with the launch of its first EV, the Proton e.MAS 7.
