Bufori, Malaysia’s boutique carmaker known for handcrafted luxury, just pulled the wraps off its latest creation the CS8, a beastly grand tourer that blends brute power with bespoke elegance. And where did it debut? At a private track day hosted by Affin Bank for its ultra-wealthy clients. But we snuck in for a closer look.

From Prototype to Powerhouse

If you remember the CS prototype from 2019, the CS8 is its grown up sibling. It’s longer by 350 mm and better proportioned, with a stretched wheelbase and extended rear. That extra size isn’t just for looks; it means more cabin space and a sleeker silhouette. The body is made from Bufori’s signature carbon kevlar composite, keeping it light yet strong.

Performance That Punches Hard

Under the hood sits a 6.4L supercharged V8, pushing out a jaw dropping 810 horsepower and 973 Nm of torque. That’s enough to launch the CS8 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, with a top speed capped at 330 km/h. It’s rear-wheel drive, with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and launch control. Think Aston Martin vibes, but with a Malaysian twist.

Track-Ready Hardware

To tame all that power, the CS8 packs serious stopping gear: Brembo brakes with massive rotors (380 mm front, 350 mm rear) and high-performance Michelin semi-slick tyres wrapped around 19-inch forged wheels. It’s not just fast, it’s built to handle.

Luxury Meets Tech

Inside, it’s all about comfort and tech. You get eight-way adjustable Recaro seats, a 13.6-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, mood lighting, dual-zone climate control, and even a wireless phone charger. Safety and convenience features include adaptive cruise control, 360-degree cameras, lane assist, and blind spot monitoring.

Tailored to You

The CS8 isn’t for everyone. It’s for those who’ve seen it all and want something truly unique. A car that’s part muscle, part luxury, and all personality. Pricing drops next week, but expect it to rival the likes of a Porsche 911. For now, just know this: Malaysia’s wildcard is ready to play.

Would you take this handcrafted rocket for a spin, or is it too wild for your taste?
