Themed ‘Style Meets Robustness’, the smart #5 combines rugged capability with refined design, offering a dynamic driving experience tailored for modern lifestyles.

Expanding the smart EV family, the new smart #5 joins the #1 and #3 to deliver a bold, premium driving experience in a mid-size SUV format. With design cues from Mercedes-Benz and a focus on versatility, the #5 signals smart’s evolution from city-centric EVs to adventure-ready electric mobility, offering drivers a fresh blend of style, space, and sophistication.

A smart Blend of Adventure and Exploration

The smart #5 boasts a 2,900mm wheelbase, placing it firmly within the D-segment (mid-size) SUV category. Available in four colours for the Premium variant which are Meta Black, Cyber Silver, Pulsar Ruby and Saturn Beige Matte*, all come with the Eclipse Black roof colour. The BRABUS variant offers three exclusive finishes which are Atom Grey Matte*, Meta Black and Digital White together with the Eclipse Black roof edition. The smart #5 features a boxy, confident exterior paired with a lounge-inspired interior wrapped in soft-touch Nappa leather, oak wood trims and a tie-clip inspired dashboard design.

Comfort is further elevated with a 1.7m² panoramic glass roof and onboard chiller, and soundproof double-layered glass ensures a serenity on every drive. Thoughtfully designed for versatility, the cabin offers three configurable bed modes, 34 storage spaces, a 1530L rear trunk, and 72L frunk, perfect for both weekend escapes or daily errands.

On the technology front, the dual 13” OLED screens, a 25.6” AR head-up display, AMD V2000 chipset, and LEO, a ChatGPT-powered smart avatar, combine to deliver a futuristic, intuitive driving experience. The SENNHEISER 20-speaker system with Dolby Atmos further elevates the ambience while driving , delivering immersive audio. 

Safety and Performance, Redefined

Beneath its striking design lies proven strength and safety. The smart #5 earned a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating, reinforced by 42,000Nm torsional rigidity and 82% high-strength steel construction. Seven airbags, smart Pilot Assist, Highway Pilot Assist (HWA) with Stop & Go, and a 360° camera system offer comprehensive protection and control.

The smart #5 is built on a state-of-the-art EV architecture featuring a 100kWh battery (the highest capacity when compared to the previous smart #1 and #3) capable of delivering up to 590km of WLTP-rated range. It is also the first smart in Malaysia to launch with the 800V fast-charging architecture, taking the battery from 10- 80% in just 15 minutes, making those Malaysian road trips effortless and more efficient.

With nine drive modes, including five off-road modes, and an advanced suspension system, the smart #5 adapts effortlessly to any terrain, balancing performance, comfort, and confidence in every journey.
